Accessibility statement

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Our commitment

Preppy Collection cares about serving everyone, including people with disabilities. We work to make the site accessible in line with Israeli Standard 5568 at level AA, based on the WCAG 2.1 guidelines at level AA, and with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments for Service) Regulations, 2013.

Accessibility is not a project that ends. The site keeps changing, and its accessibility with it.

What has been made accessible

  • The site is built in Hebrew with full right-to-left layout, and can be used entirely by keyboard (Tab, Enter, Esc and the arrow keys).
  • The site is also available in English, and every page declares its own language and direction so screen readers read it correctly.
  • Every page has a "Skip to main content" link, revealed on the first Tab press, so the menu doesn't have to be passed every time.
  • Every control has a visible focus indicator, with contrast suited to the background it appears on.
  • All images and buttons have alternative text or an accessible name, including the item's name — so a screen reader can tell the pieces in a gallery apart.
  • Text colours on the site were checked against the standard's contrast requirement (4.5:1 for normal text).
  • The active filter (category or size) is announced to screen readers, not shown by colour alone.
  • The enlarged photo view behaves as a dialog: focus moves into it, stays inside it, and returns to where it was when it closes.
  • The site respects the operating system's "reduce motion" setting and turns off motion effects when it is on.
  • Headings and regions (landmarks) are structured so a screen reader can navigate quickly.

Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of the site are not yet fully accessible. We would rather say so plainly:

  • The site has not yet been audited externally by a certified accessibility tester, and no formal accessibility opinion has been issued.
  • The alternative text for item photos is based on the item's name and attributes, rather than a free, detailed description of each photo.
  • The photo zoom view supports zooming and dragging with a mouse and by touch. It can be zoomed with the + and − buttons by keyboard, but moving the enlarged photo is not supported by keyboard.
  • Some item descriptions were entered by hand and are shorter than we would like. We are filling them in on an ongoing basis.
  • On the English site, a few item names and descriptions that were written in Hebrew may appear in Hebrew until their translation is available.

Accessibility of the service itself

Sales are completed in a personal WhatsApp conversation, not through an automated checkout on the site. If WhatsApp isn't accessible for you, we'll gladly arrange a phone call, a voice message or any other way that suits you.

For the physical accessibility of the pickup point at 18 Herutenu St, Tel Aviv, please contact us before you come and we'll give you accurate information and arrange a solution that suits you, including home delivery at no extra cost.

Found a problem?

If you came across a page, button or image that doesn't work properly with the technology you use — we'd like to hear about it. Accessibility reports are handled as a priority.

To help us fix it quickly, it helps to know the page address, what you were trying to do, and which browser or screen reader you use.
